This scenario of an elder child helping with the studies of a younger sibling is common in our culture. When the eldest child gets a job, he would help in the finances especially for the schooling of his siblings. But what if there is a plan to get married? That always becomes an issue. The advice is to help only with a fraction and not in full so that you can have something left for your savings.

This is a common problem not only to the foreigners but also to anyone whose girlfriend is the bread winner. Helping in the family finances would always be an obstacle for getting married. I know of single girls who would go abroad just to give a good life to her family that she forgets her own happiness.
