The puericulture center is the government clinic for non-emergency cases and more for the out patient programs. It is for the service of the residents of the town. When someone is sick that needs medical attention, you can bring him to the center for diagnosis. But if the doctor sees that the cases is not minor he will instruct to the patient to be brought to the hospital. The center is free of charge but sometimes they ask donation.

This is not to malign the puericulture center because my sister’s husband is a physician in the public medical center. But there is a culture in the rural areas that contributions are mandatory for the patients. Also the medicine should be bought from the nurse who has a stock of medicines that are really samples only and not for sale. Oh well, sorry for that comment but it is true.
