Patintero is a team game composed of at least 3 players per team. The ground is lined up with squares where each line is manned including the line that crosses all the parallel lines. In effect, the playing field is like a polygon composed of 2 squares at the least. The object is for the offensive team to get inside the squares and then go back to the starting line without being tagged by the defending team. It’s fun not only for the kids but even for adults as well.

There was a time that we played patintero with the kids. It was lots of fun that every weekend my nieces and nephews would spend overnight in our house just to play patintero at night. It was more fun to play by the light of the electric posts. I hope that adults will teach their children the game so it will be perpetuated.
