When the local comics were popular there were stores that rent out comics to the neighborhood. The comics would be hanging in the clothesline so the potential customers can easily choose. But now there are no more comics. The industry died already.

It is sad that there are no more local comics and I have to agree that the industry is already dead. And probably it would be difficult to revive because the internet is rife with manga comics from Japan and also other popular reading materials like the stories in wattpad.

Maybe the sari-sari stores can still continue with the rental although not of local comics anymore. But maybe it is not that easy to revive the rental since the people are now engrossed with the gadget especially that video games are very popular not to mention the preoccupation with social media.
